Thanksgiving break is almost here. We have written about things we are thankful for in class. But what about the historical aspect of Thanksgiving? Click on the picture to "become a historian" and find out what the first Thanksgiving was really like.After you explore the site as an amateur historian and gather your evidence, determine whether you believe "The First Thanksgiving" is appropriately named, or if it should be called "The Harvest Festival of 1621". Be sure to support your answer with facts.This week we read "The Great Serum Race" and watched the movie Balto to help us visualize the setting/time period of the story, since our genre this month is historical fiction.
